artist statement

The Nitzky Chair borns from a collaboration between Moíses Cuartas and myself. We had the oppportunity to learn carpentry at La Carpi’s talleres. I inheritted the taste for design and art from my deep friendship with Moi. Learned tons fromt the creative process behind the chair, we had somelike a mentor pupil friendship. 

I pitched Moi the idea of doing a exhibition together, hosting a space where he could show hos work as an artist, at the same time as me, and additionally we decided to create one final piece, where our visions merged together and gave birth to the Nitzky Chair. Influenced by 19th century russian solid and geometric designs.
